Shiloh History
Shiloh Wallacedene
In 1993, Pastor Nanda Govender ministering in the Wallacedene settlement outside Cape Town met with Andre Beeton. After much prayer and deliberation with Christian friends, they started a working committee.
This organization, born as the WALLACEDENE SOUP KITCHEN was the fruit of the committee in May 1995, wanting to express the love of Jesus Christ with every mug of soup to the children of Wallacedene and Bloekombos informal settlement. The first donation of R185.00 towards our project was just about sufficient for the ingredients for the first day! Thus, we continued trusting the Lord to provide one day at a time.
The Lord started extending our borders literally. A committee was formed as interest in the work grew and more people, across denominational borders, became active and started working with us. The SHILOH CHRISTIAN UPLIFTMENT CENTRE was established and was registered by the Department of Welfare in 1997 as a non-profit organization (NPO).

Shiloh Klipheuwel
Schalk Burger burdened for the stranded community of Klipheuwel was impressed by God to reach 1 000 000 throughout South Africa with world-class early childhood education (ECD). In 2004 the first ECD School was built in Klipheuwel and the JES curriculum (consisting of elements from Montessori, Jubilee Excellence, and the public school curriculum) was implemented. MASINCEDISANE KLIPHEUWEL amalgamated with Shiloh Upliftment Centre in 2006 and subsequently received their new name: Shiloh Klipheuwel.
Consequently, Shiloh Christian Upliftment Centre was renamed SHILOH SYNERGY, and an Head Office was established to provide shared services among the three different initiatives. All finances, marketing and HR structures are administrated from the Head Office in Ptotea Heghts, Brackenfell, Cape Town. Shiloh Synergy is registered by the Department of Welfare as a Non-Profit Company (the old art. 21). We are registered for tax deduction on donations – (South Africa only) and also BEEBE-compliant. Taking hands and working together we can make a difference.
Since 2012 new initiatives were added to Shiloh’s arsenal against poverty in the Western Cape
